Hi all,
Please complete the following March holiday homework:
Maths
- Koobits: Four operations http://problemsums.koobits.com/Homework/Access/594027
- Maths Review 1 (pg 35-38)
- Chapter 5 Angles Practice 1 (pg 81-84)
Science
- McOnline: Our digestive system and Life cycle of plants
- Knowledge Forum: Select promising ideas on KF using the lightbulb tool https://kf.rdc.nie.edu.sg
How to select promising ideas:
- It is an idea that needs more elaboration.
- It will help develop our scientific discussion further as it contains relevant scientific vocabulary.
You must justify why you chose those notes as promising ideas.
Assign colours:
Green - For ideas with scientific words relate to the topic
Orange - For ideas related to the topic but no scientific words and needs further elaboration
Choosing the right scaffolds:
- "I need to understand": Used in the first stage when you didn't understand much about the problem
- "My theory": You wrote steps that should be taken to stop mosquito breeding
- "New information": You put in things from articles that you have read.
- "A better theory / This theory does not explain": We are at this stage now. After identifying promising ideas, build on them to give a better theory, now that you have gained more information on the topic.
- "Putting our knowledge together": We will do this in Term 2 once everyone has put up their better theories and this will lead to our Rise above.
Thank you and have an enjoyable March holidays.
