New subscription system for this blog - Update: Back to old system

Hi everyone,

Thanks to feedback from some parents, I realised that the blog notifications are only sent out to subscribers of this blog at around 3.45am each time a new post is put up. It doesn't seem to send email notifications instantaneously once I post up something new.  I have tried changing the time zone and other settings but they don't seem to help.

Hence, I would like to try another system of subscription. I am still trying this out as it is new to me so I seek your kind understanding if there any teething problems with this subscription system.

Please key in your email address in the box below if you are keen on receiving email notifications of new posts to this blog.

Thank you

Update: I have managed to change the settings for the original newsfeed (Google feed) of this blog so that it sends out newsfeed to parents between 3-6pm SG time. Hence, I am removing the new subscription system (Specific Feeds).

Science Alternative Assessment

Hi all,

For the P3 Term 3 Science Alternative Assessment. the pupils are learning about growing plants. We are growing plants in 3 different locations, that is, along the corridor outside our classroom, at the aquaponics system in our school and at home. Pupils planted seeds in their pots and brought them home yesterday. Please water the plants everyday and put it near sunlight once it starts growing leaves. Here are the photos of some pupils planting the seeds and at the aquaponics system.

Learning about fractions

Hi all,

The pupils learnt about equivalent fractions during Maths lesson. They used fraction discs to show fractions that are equivalent to half. The pupils then learnt to use multiplication and division to show equivalent fractions. Here are some photos of the activity.

Annotation

To help us better understand what we read, we have to annotate the text. In other words, as we read and annotate, we are actually 'interacting' with the text and making sense of what we are reading.

During our first reading, we use Surface Annotation skills to help us. As we read the text the second time, we apply Deep Annotation skills. These were taught last week. You need to apply these skills when you attempt comprehension questions.
