Maths magazine subscription

Hi all,

Pupils were given subscription forms to a Maths magazine today. Parents who wish to subscribe can do so online through the website listed on the form.

All magazines, whether Maths or Science, are optional.

The pupils classified items that they saw in the school canteen today. They have drawn classification diagrams in their Activity Book (Diversity) on pages 5 and 6. Please neaten up the classification diagrams and answer all questions on the two pages before handing in the book tomorrow.

Subscription to Science magazines

Hi all,

The pupils were given subscription forms to two different Science magazines today. One was for the Young Scientist and the other was for Science Adventure. 

Please let your child bring the form and cheque for subscription on the dates indicated in the forms.

Science Alternative Assessment (Term 1)

The pupils received a handout about the Term 1 Science Alternative Assessment (AA).

The AA is to be done at home and handed in by Term 1 Week 6.

Maths Chapter 1

Dear parents,

Maths Chapter 1 was returned to the pupils today. Please look through it and sign at the top right hand corner of the front cover page and let your child return it to me tomorrow.

Everytime we complete a Maths chapter in the workbook, I will ask pupils to bring it home for their parents to sign on the cover page. This also serves as a chance for parents to monitor their child's progress in the subject. Parents are to check through the chapter to see which areas the child is making more mistakes in and help them in those areas at home.

Class dojo

Dear all,

Class Dojo forms were issued to the pupils today. Parents are to download the Class Dojo app and log in using the details provided in the letter. The Class Dojo app serves as a communication tool between parents and teachers as it has a messaging function. However, any main notices for the class will be posted up here on the class blog.

Classroom decoration on 13 Jan 2017

Hi all,

This Friday, 13 Jan,  we will be doing classroom decoration. Please submit an underwater creature or plant using recyclable materials to be put up in the classroom for decoration. You can submit more than one if you want to. Please submit your items by Thursday, 12 Jan 2017.

For those who are interested in staying back on Friday to help out, it will be from 1.45pm to 3pm at 3 Compassion classroom. Interested pupils will be given a consent form.

Parents, if you happen to be free during that timing, please join us in helping to make and put up classroom decorations too! 😊

Class photo competition

Dear all,

We have chosen to depict the following scene for our class photo competition.

An aquarium teeming with tropical fish, shell animals and water plants.

Please bring coloured drawings or paintings of aquatic animals and plants for us to pose for a class photo with tomorrow as we would need to submit the photo on 4 Jan 2017.
